During this process don't bother any of the Intel graphics drivers.

Many, if not all, laptop manufacturers alter the graphics drivers and the drivers from Nvidia will not work most of the time. Make sure the 'clean install' box is checked.

Select only the Graphics Drivers and PhysX. You should be able to select custom install.

Then reboot back into normal mode and install the driver you downloaded from MSI. it will clean out any left overs that Windows didn't get. When you come back into safe mode run display driver uninstaller, ONLY SELECTING NVIDIA DRIVERS. When you uninstall the graphics driver you will have to reboot. Uninstall all the Nvidia graphics selections making sure to uninstall the Graphics driver last. Open DDU and go into settings and enable safe mode and close the program. Also download Display Driver Uninstaller. I may suggest you install MSI Afterburner from MSI also just to monitor what the card is doing. Try going to your laptop on MSI's website and download the Nvidia driver from there to your desktop. Would really appreciate help as it is really bugging me. I think it might be something to do with the drivers but I am too scared to start configuring them without advice from someone. I should mention that I have tried everything in NVIDIA control panel, changing all the settings to high performance GPU, and for some reason I cant right click apps and choose what graphics card to use like I used to before I reset. I started using it today and I downloaded some drivers like NVIDIA and Nahimic and then a game that I sometimes play, its a very easy to run game that I should have no problem running on my laptop as it is an i7 7700, gtx 1060, 16G model.īut for some reason the game hovers around 30-60fps, the resolution also doesnt look right on the game and various other applications, but not the Windows interface. Yesterday I reset my laptop because I was wanting to get it fresh and clean for college and get rid of all the apps and such that came with it as I purchased it recently. Yet, my mobo, apparently supports it (Asus Sage X299). However, when I go to my NVidia Control Panel, I dont see any options to enable SLI/NVLINK etc. Hi there I would really appreciate it if someone could lend me a hand with trying to tackle this problem I have. Ive just installed a 2nd RTX 3090 into my workstation, along with the NVLINK connector to bridge both GPUs - and both RTXs are installed in x16 PCI slots.
